In the welterweight EBi 16 men tournament there were plenty of upsets but perhaps none as big as one coming from down under -Nathan Orchard was eliminated by Australia’s own Craig Jones. This wasn’t the only upset by Jones who also managed to defeat Darragh O’Conaill in the quarter finals only to be stopped by Vagner Rocha in the semi finals. As the luck would have it Rocha managed to pull off the fastest escape.

Elsewhere on the bracket Gordon Ryan is feeling back to his old self. In round one he got the submission over Jean Paul Lebosnoyani by rear naked chokes.  Slightly later on he as met by Chris McKarski who he defeated via arm in guillotine.

The other member of the Danaher Death Squad that was allowed to compete met an early end when Marcel Goncalves managed to defeat him via fastest escape.

Goncalves met with Gordon Ryan in the semi finals anyway where the fight abruptly ended once Ryan managed to secure the cross face choke from the back.
