CM Punk’s Coach Believes He Should Compete In Jiu Jitsu

CM Punk just had a 2nd showing in the octagon. It left no doubt in hearts of MMA fans – he won’t be seen in the octagon again.

“I hope he continues training and maybe enters a jiu-jitsu competition, something he has always talked about,” Wanderley told MMA Fighting. “I hope he comes back with a good mindset and keeps training jiu-jitsu because that’s good for his life. I think that’s a perfect sport for him.”

His coach added:

“I wish he would go on to compete in jiu-jitsu because you face opponents at your age, your skill level, your belt rank, so you don’t fight someone more experienced than you. That’s my recommendation for him.”

Can you really compete as a blue belt if you’ve been featured on 2 UFC pay per views?

Want to develop insane loop choke attacks? Alexandre Vieira is one of the most exciting up and coming grapplers today under the Brazilian Top Team flag.  In 2017, his loop choke submission was chosen as the Submission of the Year by FloGrappling. Alexandre recently put together his Crucifix and Loop Choke 3 volume instructional set.  Alexandre brings a modern outlook to some of the sports most devastating, but sometimes ignored positions, the crucifix and the loop choke.
