Chael Sonnen aka ‘The American Gangster’ has a rich Wrestling background in all aspects: high school, Collegiate, Greco Roman and freestyle wrestling.
In high school in Oregon, Sonnen was a state runner-up. At University of Oregon, he was an All-American and a two-time PAC-10 runner-up. He also transitioned to Greco Roman wrestling, where he was a silver medalist at the 2000 Greco-Roman World University Championships. He also won the Dave Schultz Memorial International Greco-Roman twice.
