UAE Jiu-Jitsu federation has just announced that this year’s edition of the World Pro Jiu-Jitsu championships will be the first time ever a 10 day event. More than 5,000 competitors from 100 countries will be competing in the 8th edition of the Abu Dhabi World Pro Jiu-Jitsu Championship. This now makes it the biggest BJJ tournament in the world, surpassing the IBJJF European championship. Earlier this year with 3,517 registered competitors, the Europeans became the biggest championship in the world, surpassing the Pan (3,000 this year).
For the first time ever, the Word Pro will be streamed live in English on Flograppling.com for 4 days straight.
At the world pro, BJJ athletes will be competing for a bigger than ever prize money of $ 630,000 divided into several categories at the event.
Many have already arrived and are adjusting to the heat. They are living the BJJ lifestyle of training hard, going to the beach, shopping etc..
