Biting is often the object of many jokes in the bjj community. From the white belts that bit their way out of triangles in competition to Tyron Woodley’s half joking claim that he would bite his way out of Demian Maia’s disturbingly effective back control.

However last night one other fighter in the octagon took those jokes a little too seriously.

Jason Knight took on Gabriel Benitez at the co-main event of UFC Fight Night: Fresno. Knight came in as a favorite, but he was man handled by Benitez for most of the contest.

When eyepokes weren’t enough he opted to bite his way out of a takedown attempt:

 

Lucky for him he didn’t get DQed – just got a point deducted. Were the refs too easy on him??
