Las Vegas IBJJF Pro League Grand Prix is set to take place on July 9th in Las Vegas. But there are several changes on the roster from the initially announced names two weeks ago. It will now feature:
Xande Ribeiro
Seasoned veteran Xande Ribeiro needs no introduction. He’s pretty much won it all. The two time ADCC champion will no doubt be an exciting competitor at the event.
Leo Nogueira
Noguiera was a standout at the 2016 World Championship, having taken gold in the Black Belt Adult Male Super Heavy weight division. He will be filling in for teammate, and 4X World Champion, Bernardo Faria.
Joao Gabriel Rocha
The 2x Brazilian National Champion is looking for redemption, after his loss against Buchecha in the Black Belt Adult Male Ultra Heavy weight Semi-Final at the 2016 World Jiu-Jitsu IBJJF Championship.
Felipe Preguica Pena
Felipe Preguica got the spot instead of Romulo Barral who felt he had to leave the card due to injury. Felipe Preguica will fill in for Barral who was supposed to perform one of the last times before retiring from high level competition scene.
The spot is in capable hands because Preguica proved he is more than capable earlier this year when he won the absolute gold in the Abu Dhabi World Pro held in April in the United Arab Emirates capital.
And possibly Marcus Almeida Buchecha and Andre Galvao.
