What do you do for a living?

My first job is helping Andre in whatever he needs, my second job is be a fighter, that is what I do for living . My husband and I also own a jiu jitsu school. I am a mom of a 6 years old girl, and a wife of a champion … that is already hard work.

How did you find BJJ?

I first saw bjj in my town during a tournament that they always had during the summer, in fact that was the first time I saw Andre. And then, the next week I tried out for my first class.

How often do you train?

I train 5 to 6 days a week, with 2 bjj session and 1 conditioning session per day. My family (husband, daughter and me) live inside the gym, I spend more time at the gym than in home, I only skip in case of sickness, or if I have something to do with my girl or at home.

Have you ever wanted to quit?

I never wanted, but I quit for 5 years, when I got pregnant, from end of 2005 until end of 2010, I try to be back when my girl was little but I couldn’t do it with discipline, so I decided that would be better be 100% a mom and wife.

What drives you or inspires you to keep training?

My husband is with no doubt my inspiration and the reason to keep me training, the way he gives himself to bjj, teaching, is amazing.
