Angela Lee ‘Disgusted’ After Her New BJJ Academy is Vandalized; Delaying Grand Opening

ONE atomweight champ & BJJ black belt Angela Lee’s BJJ academy, United BJJ Hawaii was attacked and vandalized last week.

Lee who runs the academy with BJJ black belt MMA fighter husband Bruno Pucci was “shocked and disgusted” by this unfortunate incident.

This delayed the grand opening of their beautiful new academy. She shared a video of the incident and the police is investigating.

“Dear United BJJ Hawaii Students,

Unfortunately we did not have the best start to the new year, as we just found out someone had vandalized and smashed the exterior of the gym (windows and door). We have already met with the police and filed a report. We are shocked and disgusted by this act but we are incredibly grateful that no one was hurt. Sadly, we will not be able to open today, as we had hoped. We plan to use this weekend to clean and hopefully resume classes on Monday 1/4. We are so sorry to inform you at such a late notice. We just found out about this incident and are trying our best to sort this all out.

Today’s class is cancelled. If you would like to move your Free Trial or your scheduled class, please email/text us with your preferred date/time/class and Coach Angela will gladly reschedule you.

Again, we apologize for this unexpected occurrence and inconvenience.
We ask that you please bear with us during this time and we thank you for your understanding.

Mahalo,

Coach Angela & Coach Bruno
@unitedbjjhawaii”
