Turkish Oil wrestling, also called grease wrestling is the Turkish national sport. The wrestlers douse themselves extra virgin olive oil and wear leather trousers.
Many are was weirded out by some of the techniques used by the wrestlers which involved putting hands deep in the pants of the opponent and grabbing their privates.
Bjj superstar Craig Jones has been traveling globally, conducting seminars, and creating social media content. His latest stop is Turkey, the heart of Turkish Oil Wrestling, and he’s brought former UFC middleweight champion Rockhold with him.
The duo are currently in Edirne, Turkey, to participate in the largest oil wrestling competition .
Rockhold commented, “If any of these guys came to the UFC with their strength, they would dominate. But they are here for the honor of their country, not for the money!”
