“Mom, wherever you are, I love you,” Yahya said in Portuguese at the start of his interview. “You were the best mom in the world. Thank you for everything.”
Following half guard scramble Yayha worked the sweep effectively catching the head and arm choke. From there he worked on passing halfguard and making sure the fence doesn’t obstruct his submission attempt. Ultimately he transitioned to the other side and got the quick tap.
