What to expect

  • This is largest worlds so far in terms of number of competitors. Some black belt divisions are stacked such as the men’s middle weight with over 66 competitors. From the 2015 Worlds, only those that win smaller regional opens will be invited to participate at the black belt level.
  • Will a heavier Rodolfo finally be able to beat Buchecha? Their last fight at the World Pro was very close. Let’s see what happens this time.
  • Will Keenan Cornelius be the next American black belt champion? He will have a tough time with veterans such as Braulio Estima and Romulo Barral on his way.
  • Will Atos repeat their feat from the Pan of winning the team awards?
  • Miyao bros first gold at the Worlds at black belt?
  • Are the Mendes bros on the way down?
  • much more…
