Regarding the ADCC Super fight, Roberto Cyborg Abreu stated,

‘To tell you the truth it was one of the most frustrating moments of my life. I trained super hard for that event, I have never been so prepared for an event. I had the best guys in the world come train with me in Miami, I had a great camp. When I got to the ADCC, I believe I felt the pressure. I haven’t competed in Brazil for 8 years, my family was there, I wanted that moment so much and some how it triggered my heart and ten minutes before the fight my heart just went 200 beats a minute. I just couldn’t control it in time. They called my name and I went in, I wasn’t in the fight and I couldn’t get back in time to put up a fight. I didn’t back out at-least, I went in their and fought how I could, anybody who knows me, knows that wasn’t me who was competing in that fight”
