15 yr Old Green Belt Defeats BJJ Black Belt in Competition

Grand Prix Houston Championship last year featured a very exciting match between BJJ prodigy Roberto Jimenez (Alliance Gacho) and Washington Luis (GF Team).

What’s so special about this match? Roberto Jimenez was last year still a green belt in Jiu-Jitsu (green belt is a juvenile belt as you can only get your blue belt when you turn 16) and he defeated the much more experienced black belt Washington Luis.  Jimenez just recently turned 16 but he’s already managed to win Double Gold in 2016 Pan Ams as well as other medals.

Recently he won Gold in Blue Belt Juvenile 1 Super Heavy category and Silver in Open Class Heavy Juvenile Blue Belts.

He ended up squaring off against a a black belt because he entered the Advanced NoGi Division.

Watch him Face Off against GF Team black belt Washington Luis:

Last weekend, Jimenez was at it again, this time submitting another black belt in a competition.

Watch him submit BJJ black belt Lucas Pinheiro (Gracie Gym). Keep an eye out for this kid.
