ABOUT THE TRAINERS
The Martinez Brothers run 10th Planet San Diego (http://10thplanetsandiego.com/sandiegojiujitsustaff/) and 10th Planet Oceanside (http://www.10thplanetoceanside.net/menu/) and breakdance professionally as part of “The Freakshow” breakdance crew. Their dedication and fast rise to success made them famous, or rather infamous, in record time. The Martinez Brothers have never set foot on European soil for a camp and we are proud to be the first to host the opportunity for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioners to learn from the these highly talented athletes in the sunny summer beach atmosphere of Cyprus.
Geovanny Martinez
Geo “Freakahzoid” Martinez is one of Eddie Bravo’s 10th Planet black belts. He made his name as an undefeated competitor throughout 2014 in the Adult Black Belt division of the Gracie Nationals, ADCC Trials and went on to beat the World Champion, Jeff Glover at the Eddie Bravo Invitational finals. Geo’’s natural talent and background in breakdancing gave him the edge in developing a fighting style which is undeniably unique and dangerous. His strength, flexibility and spacial awareness give him the ability to teach students his unique concepts to adapt and assimilate into their game.
Richie Martinez
Richie “Boogeyman” Martinez the current Tuff-N-Uff 170-pound Champion. He took the title within record time during his first year competing in the mixed martial art art. Richie earned his black belt just 4 years after first stepping onto the mat, his talent and creativity are unparalleled. Apart from being the titleholder of the Tuff-N-Uff MMA promotion he is a decorated gold medalist in some of the most prestigious grappling events such as Gracie Worlds, United Grappling Federation (UGF), North American Grappling Association (NAGA) and others. His success on the mat and in the cage is attributed to his endless work ethic, strength and flexibility developed through breakdancing and refined through BJJ.
