6x World BJJ Champion and 2x ADCC champion Rubens Charles Maciel aka “Cobrinha” is coming to Europe!

He is considered the best featherweight of the decade and to be among the best pound for pound jiu jitsu competitors in the world. Cobrinha is a black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu under Fernando “Terere” Augusto and a member of Alliance Jiu Jitsu. Cobrinha has won a total of six world championship titles in Brazilian jiu-jitsu as a black belt in the featherweight (or lightweight) category. He started training BJJ in 2000, received his black belt in 2005, and has since medaled in every World Jiu-Jitsu Championship in which he has competed – a total of ten. He is known for his attacking style of jiu jitsu and, in particular, for his guard. His guard was voted the best Guard of the Decade by fellow World Champions.

Before opening his own school Cobrinha BJJ in Los Angeles, California, in 2011, he was an instructor at the Alliance Jiu Jitsu headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia. One of his notable students is Fabricio Werdum.

The time has come to announce the Cobrinhabjj European tour. One month of work in the old continent and an exclusive Competition Camp, to help everyone prepare for the IBJJF European 2017.

The Camp will be hosted in Lisbon from the 01/12 to 01/16 it will be open to all levels and Schools.

There also will be 7 open spots for seminars from the 01/04 to 01/11 and 01/17 to 01/31.

I will have the honor of receiving the Super Athletes and incredible human beings, Rubens Charles “Cobrinha” in the country That gave me so much ,my beloved France. This’s one of the most enjoyable event I ever organized… I will rely on my good friends and Capoeira Coach’s Paris to make it happen and all the Grappling school and JJB schools & judo/Newaza in Paris, that will join the adventure.
