BJJEE Review: VVV Fight Co.’s Guardian Gi

BJJEE Review: VVV Fight Co.’s Guardian Gi

VVV Fight Co. is a company whose goal is to take  MMA and Jiu Jitsu fashion and apparel to a higher level.

The company is run by fighters and they are very active in fight communities around the world and are fully invested in sponsoring events as well as athletes (from the professional fighter to the occasional hobbyist).

VVV Fight Co are sponsors of BJJ black belt and IBJJF competitor Stevie Linton. I was contacted by VVV’s owner,, and they sent me a gi to try. They sent me the white “The Guardian” Gi. It took about 8 days to arrive from North America to Serbia where I live.

Weight for the A3: 1,9 kgs

Sizing and shrinking:
I’m 1m85, 86 kilos so I ordered the A3 size. When the gi arrived and I tried it on it was slightly bigger  so I washed it at 60 degrees Celsius to shrink fit it. Shrinkage is minimal if you follow the directions. After about 3 weeks of training almost everyday in the gi, it hasn’t shrank any further and perfectly fits me as you can see on the photo.

Material and durability:
The jacket is made from high quality cotton. It feels light and is perfect for summer training. After 1 month of daily training with the Gi with my heavyweight training partners, the top has done very well with all the pulling and tugging. The lapel is medium thick.
Pants are strong cotton with reinforced knees, which makes them perfect for everyday training.
This gi is loaded with reinforcements at the key stress areas.

Look:
The thing I like the most with this gi is the logo on the shoulder and the lettering. The red lining looks really cool too.

Feeling when rolling:

I wore the Guardian Gi every other day for a month. The gi is very comfortable to roll in. It’s great for everyday rolling and also practical for competitions.
