Rodolfo Vieira’s MMA Debut Set For February 2017

 

 

BJJ and ADCC world champion Rodolfo Vieira’s much awaited debut has a date and a place! Rodolfo will fight at Real Fight 6 in Sao Paulo Feb 11. He will be facing Daniiar Zarylbek of Kyrgyzstan in the light heavyweight division. The fighter is unknown to the MMA community but it is said that he has seven professional MMA fights which make him much ore experienced than Vieira. The 2015 ADCC champion has been quite dedicated to honing in his MMA skills.

A few days ago, Rodolfo Vieira said that he would be part of the Real Fight Championship promotion – based out of Japan. Hegot the nationality of his opponent wrong though. He told flograppling:

“We’re figuring out the date now, it’s a Japanese event [Real Fight Championship] in January or February and the opponent is a Serbian guy if I’m not mistaken. He has about five or six fights.”

As for if we can expect to see him on the bjj scene again soon he said:

“No, while I’m doing jiu-jitsu I won’t fight MMA. Unless I see that MMA is not for me, which I don’t think will happen, I can think about going back to jiu-jitsu. But while I’m doing MMA, no.”
