On the last day of the Brazilian championship of Jiu-Jitsu (Brasileiros), two names shone and won weight and absolute: Erberth Santos and Monique Elias .
After they reached the final of the absolute last Saturday (2/5/15), the champions repeated the same feat in their respective categories and earned two more gold medals in the tournament.
Erberth advanced to the semifinals and faced Victor Silverio. By one advantage, the fighter secured his place in the final against Renato Cardoso, who dispatched of Pedrinho Moura. In the end, Erberth beat Renato who had 2 penalties and got gold. In superheavy, he submitted Rodrigo Cavaca and assured the weight and absolute.

Big name among women in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Monique Elias once again showed her value on the mat. The Alliance black belt who beat Barbara Gomes in the final of weight by two points also snapped up the title in the absolute after a tough battle with Luiza Monteiro.
The two spent much of the fight in 50/50, and the confrontation ended up finishing with a scoreof 8 to 8. The decision then fell to the judges, who, by spilt decision, gave Monique the gold.
