The date for Submissao Grappling Challenge 2016 is confirmed. The event will take place at the Polizeisportverein Karlsruhe on the weekend 20./21. February 2016.
Submissao Grappling Challange was launched in 2004 with only a few athletes competing. Over the years the competition grew constantly and attracted more and more athletes from Germany and abroad. The number of participants has increased steadily in the recent years and we expect around 400 athletes competing in the categories Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Submission Wrestling.
High-quality prizes from our sponsor adidas await the winners of the Open Class Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Submission Wrestling (men and women). In the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu category, the winners will receive a brand new adidas Gi. The athletes who win the Open Class Submission Wrestling will get an equipment package consisting of fight shorts and rash guards.
This year we will introduce an open class Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt Challenge. Any Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt is invited to fight for prices sponsored by Moninger, a long-established brewery from Karlsruhe. The champion will not only receive a 30 liter beer keg but also a brandnew Jiu-Jitsu Gi. The challenge is free of charge for the athletes.
