Vitor Belfort Ahead of Weidman Bout: ‘I’m Getting Younger’

Vitor Belfort  burst onto the MMA scene 18 years ago at UFC 12. The 38-year Belfort will face the 30 year old Chris Weidman on May 23 at UFC 187.

After being off TRT for almost a year now, Belfort says that he actually feels younger.

Belfort revealed his youthful mindset in an interview with MMAJunkie:

“I think I’m getting younger, actually. The more time…..The more experience I have. So when I step onto the mat and I see all of these young guys, I see-I’m ahead of them. They don’t warm up properly because when you’re a youth, you don’t think”

Belfort on the upcoming Weidman fight:

“I see me getting my game on and being ready to apply. They say, you have plan A, plan B – I have one plan, and my plan is win. If you start getting too much like, ‘I have plan A, plan B,’ it’s not like I’m a magician. I’m a fighter. I go there to win. We have head kicks, front kicks, right hooks, combinations. We’ve got everything, and when I think about it, I’m always in the winning position”, Belfort said.
