UFC’s Cole Miller To Participate in EBI’s Upcoming Combat Jiu-Jitsu 155lbs Tournament

Last weekend’s 11th edition of the Eddie Bravo Invitational had more than one thing going for it. But certainly one of the most intriguing aspects of the event was the 4 men Combat Jiu Jitsu match.

NoGi fight, Pancrase style – with palm strikes allowed.

Combat jiu jitsu was born over 4 years ago but you could say that it hasn’t lived upto this point.

The really apparent thing was how much this simple form of striking changes the game. Everything has a risk.

UFC fighter and BJJ black belt Cole Miller was recently a guest on the best BJJ podcast Grappling central podcast where he talked about various interesting topics and also announced his participation in the upcoming EBI Combat Jiu-Jitsu 155lbs 4 man tournament.

About Combat Jiu-Jitsu, Cole stated:

I talked to Eddie (Bravo) and he has given me a spot for the first EBI combat Jiu-Jitsu 155lbs tournament.

It keeps Jiu-Jitsu honest. When you’re dealing with strikes, there are certain moves that you can’t do.

Cole Miller trains at the American Top Team academy in Coconut Creek, Florida under BJJ legend Ricardo Liborio, whom he received blue through brown belts in BJJ. Miller is a Brazilian Jiu-jitsu Black Belt under Marcos “Parrumpinha” Da Matta who frequently corners him in his UFC fights.
