Ralek Gracie on Metamoris Debts: ‘The Goal Is To Make Another Show & Pay Back our Debts’

Ralek Gracie will make his much awaited Bellator debut on Jan. 21 against French/Japanese fighter Hisaki Kato at The Forum in Inglewood, California.

Ralek is mostly famous for founding Metamoris which initially provided a string of high profile sub only matches with high production value. However the promotion quickly fell into a financial hole and lost backers. His debts (and the horrible rap video he released) make him one of the Most Hated persons in jiu-jitsu today.

Gracie had already announced tat he would fight MMA and also get a bank loan in order to pay his debts:

Ralek Gracie: ‘I’m Getting a Loan & Will Pay Everyone Back’

Ralek has a 3-0 MMA record. He retired after a unanimous decision win against Kazushi Sakuraba in 2011.

Kato has a 7-2 MMA record with 3-1 Bellator record.

Ralek Gracie appeared on the latest of the MMA hour to discuss his Kato fight and was asked about his Metamoris debts:

Ralek said that there might not be another Metamoris event:

We are in a hiatus. We are regrouping and putting me away from the frontline.

About the situation regarding debts and if he has actually taken a loan to pay back the athletes:

We want to put out good content so that people can support us and we can pay back our debts. The goal is to make another show happen, make it work and pay them. We have something, we just need to refine it.

I’m all about the lesson in life. I’m all about moving forward.
