The 2013 ADCC Champion and BJJ black belt debuted in MMA with victory on December 2014 in Japan by armbar.

Kron had revealed in an interview with TATAME, that he wants to participate again in ADCC this year, but ruled compete in the Worlds. According to Kron, the gold medal at the ADCC was, until now, the most important achievement of his career. Kron submitted all of his opponents to win the title of 77kg category of the 2013 ADCC, held in China. Gold came after Gracie apply a beautiful guillotine on Otavio Sousa in the final.

“I will continue dedicating myself to MMA in 2015, but fighting in the ADCC interests me, yes.. The Jiu-Jitsu Worlds does not interest me, I see fighters with a different goal from mine. They want to hold your sleeve, grab you and wait for time to pass. They just want to stall the game. I do not see this as a real fight, I see only as a strategy to win. For me, Jiu-Jitsu is much more than that, “

Graciemag interviewed Kron at the Worlds where he was watching the action, this is what he had to say about ADCC 2015:

“I’ve competed a lot with and without the gi and now it’s time to fight MMA.” | Asked what he learned with his first fight, months ago, Kron said: “the punching did not scare me as I got punched a lot in training. I know that if the training is hard the fight is easy.”
