Jiu-Jitsu Awards: Erberth Santos & Tayane Porfirio Win Big

 

After the end of competitions in the Abu Dhabi World Pro Jiu-Jitsu, last Saturday (23) and Sunday (24), the UAEJJF, organizer of the event, held a lavish awards ceremony for the best athletes in the championship. Known as “Oscars of Jiu-Jitsu”, the ceremony was attended by the likes of Tayane Porfirio , Erberth Santos and brown belt sensation Nicholas Meregali .

Among women, Tayane Porfirio took the best athlete award in the female brown / black belt after her achievements in weight class above 70kg, and also the absolute, where she defeated Bia Mesquita. The best male athlete in the black belt was Erberth Santos, who took the title in the 94kg division by defeating Felipe Pena. In the brown belt, Nicholas Meregali was also awarded.

The best international team award went to GFTeam, while Al Jazira Jiu-Jitsu Club took the best national team award. After the title in the weight and absolute at Master 1, Marcão Oliveira was awarded best athlete black belt in the category.
