Clark Gracie: “I Don’t Feel The Need To Fight MMA. The Mission Of My Family Has Been Fulfilled: Defending Jiu-Jitsu Against Other Martials.”

Clark Gracie was the gold medal winner at the last edition of the Pan American (You can find out about Clark Gracie Here) . In a recent interview in Portuguese with Tatame, the son of Carley Gracie, said that he has considered eventually following the Gracie way  of the past and focusing on MMA, but isn’t fully convinced:

“It crossed my mind. I had that option, but I opted for Jiu-Jitsu. I trained a little bit of MMA, but I felt that my Jiu-Jitsu was not getting as sharp as it could be. So, I decided to focus on Jiu-Jitsu to improve my techniques and get to my best level, “said Clark, who lives in the United States.

Even ensuring that only focuses its attention on Jiu-Jitsu, the fighter does not rule in the future follow the path of other family members who were successful in MMA.

“There is still the possibility of fighting MMA, but I do not have much interest. The mission of my family has been fulfilled: defending the Jiu-Jitsu against other martial arts. I do not know if I have a reason to do that yet. But I’m really enjoying the Jiu-Jitsu and focused on that. “
