The professional grappling promotion, Metamoris, and most notably its founder Ralek Gracie has been under fire for the past few months for various reasons.

The main ones are:

-Scheduling events on the same weekend as EBI and the same day as Copa Podio
-Disrespecting Female Competitors
-Untrustworthy Online Site and Automatic Renewals
-Not paying Metamoris Challenger/Underground Competitors, and staff.

BJJ black belt AJ Agazarm faced ex UFC fighter Karo Parisyan at Metamoris Underground last August. More than 6 months later, he still hasn’t been paid by Metamoris. He tackled the matter last month by taking over Metamoris’ instagram account and making the case public. Ralek Gracie responded with threats of legal action, but also promised that Agazarm would be paid.

Agazarm since then has been preparing for an April grappling superfight with Wrestling Olympian and One FC champion Ben Askren at Europe’s number 1 Jiu-Jitsu invitational: Polaris.
He announced on his Facebook account that he still hasn’t been paid by Metamoris and that the Askren match didnt fall through, but that a new opponent would be found ASAP:

For those of you wondering, there’s still no payment from Ralek. Even after everything that went down and all the promises he made, there has been no change. this is a warning for the Jiu Jitsu community of what you can expect when dealing with him. I’m out here in California preparing for my next match with @polaris_professional, a company that respects the athletes, fans, and our community on all accounts. They are putting a killer card together for April 2nd that proves they are the best in the biz! My original match with Ben Askren fell through, but my new opponent is being finalized this week and I promise you it’s an exiting match up, stay tuned!!

Polaris had the whole grappling community going crazy last Friday when they announced their main card for Polaris 3 which will be held April 2 in the UK:
