(Video) Mario Lopez And His Son Take BJJ Lesson Together

Saved By The Bell actor has been considered a fitness phenom for a number of years. He is known for taking chances – he’s done tv movies, exercise videos but also reality shows. Some claim he never lost the “wrestler’s body” that made him an adolescent star. Naturally he took up bjj as well and now he’s released a bjj lesson on his youtube channel (attached on bottom)

According to his wikipedia: He graduated from Chula Vista High School in 1991, where he wrestled for Chula Vista at the weight class of 160 lbs placing 2nd in the San Diego Section and 7th in the state of California in 1991 as well.

In the past he’s been quoted saying (via bodybuilding.com):

You know, staying healthy is a top-of-mind thing for me. It’s woven into my DNA, I guess you could say. I just feel I’m at my best at work and at play when I’m taking care of myself physically. And I’m never satisfied, I think that helps. I always want to improve and get better. Whether I’m boxing, running or lifting weights, each day I look for a challenge and get after it.

And just this week he released a video lesson with him and his son enjoying a jiu-jitsu lesson.

Mario wrote:

“Jiu-Jitsu is a martial art and combat sport that teaches a lot of great lessons to children. After Mario and Courtney put their son Dominic into classes, Mario decided it might be fun for him to take too. Watch as they take a father-son lesson with Professor Robert Hill at Gracie Barra in Glendale, CA. “
