UFC Fighters Before & After TRT Ban & USADA PED Testing

In the post 2 years: two major events contributed in a power shift in the UFC roster:

TRT

On February 27, 2014, the Nevada State Athletic Commission banned the use of Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT). The UFC followed suit and banned the use of TRT for any of their events, including international markets where the UFC oversees regulatory efforts.

USADA

On July 1, 2015, the UFC Anti-Doping Program was put into place, ran by the U.S. Anti Doping Agency known as “USADA” to protect the rights of all clean athletes in the UFC.

Since the UFC Anti-Doping Program was put into place, 18 fighters have received 6 months to 2 year bans due to doping including Jon Jones, Frank Mir, Brock Lesnar, Mirko Cro Cop, Gleison Tibau, Chad Mendes, Ricardo Demente etc…
