A Texas deputy and Her Husband Have Been Indicted For Denny’s Altercation

A couple from Houston, Texas has been indicted after the night out for a couple turned into a deadly altercation.

You may have seen the video in which the deputy’s husband holds John Hernandez in a rear naked choke while Hernandez gasps for air outside a Texas restaurant Denny’s.

Video can still be viewed here.

Terry Thomspon and his wife initially claimed Terry was acting in self defense and that the above mentioned video does not depict the whole story of the conflict.

The couple was indicted on murder charges after Hernandez’s death was ruled a homicide by the Harris County medical examiner’s office, reported CNN affiliate KTRK.

A minute long video showed off Thompson holding back mount on Hernandez effectively locking him in while the wife of Thompson, and a sherif’s deputy pinned his left arm to the ground.

The autopsy report said Hernandez’s death was a homicide and that he died from anoxic encephalopathy caused by strangulation by chest compression, reported CNN affiliate KPRC.

Hernandez was a father of 3. The case caused quite a bit of controversy because in addition to the video the case was reported as assault not homicide indicating preferential treatment the two have received.
