Some fairly shocking news out of UAEJJF’s World Pro this morning. A big front runner – Mackenzie Dern is out of the tournament.
Her name has been removed from the brackets. She was formerly expected to compete in the upto 55 kilogram division.
Dern was to fight a brown belt Amal Amjahid in the first round but she has been crossed out in the bracket.
Less than a day ago she taught a class alongside Xande Ribeiro.

According to Flograppling, tournament organizers said Dern could not make weight. Her original opponent, Amal Amjahid, will now move up in the brackets.
