Ralek Gracie’s Offer Did The Impossible – It Rendered AJ Agazarm Speechless

AJ Agazarm made no secret of his outspoken nature and hot temperament. But it seems like the ADCC 2017 silver medalist has had it with the Metamoris drama.

After all in an attempt to get his money he’s hijacked the Metamoris account, had contact with the FBI, streamed Metamoris 6 on his facebook and overall gotten over the whole situation.

However the promotion’s founder Ralek Gracie, fickle in nature rattled all other avenues for possible income even losing an MMA bout against Hisaki Kato over at Bellator in a very lackluster performance. Since then there’s been no word on Ralek returning to the octagon – nor paying off his debuts.

Rener Gracie Explains Decision To Distance From Ralek Gracie

That is until he saw it fit to challenge AJ Agazarm.

” am formally challenging AJ Agazarm to a no-time-limit, submission-only match on November 26th in Denver, Colorado. All proceeds will go toward paying Metamoris athletes.

By pirating our last @metamoris event on his personal Facebook account @thefloridaboy stole money from the very athletes he claimed to be supporting, saying “pay your athletes” in his comments. Here’s your chance to put your money where your mouth is Florida boy.
Gi or no-gi your choice.”

Typically outspoken Agazarm was rendered speechless and when we tried to reach him for a comment – a typically present Agazarm was MIA.

Agazarm had just won the -66 kg silver at the ADCC – and Ralek last fought at staggering 190 lbs. Of course the weight was no issue in his last grappling match where a much smaller Garry Tonon managed to get the sub on him.

This prompted the next development from the scrambling Metamoris founder:

AJ still hasn’t responded (not surprisingly) so I’m technically open to any challenge (including @gordonlovesjiujitsu), with respect but no forgiveness.

After a storm you realize the things that are most important. Like what we started Metamoris for in the first place. Not for the money but to respectfully embrace a tradition of technical effectiveness and give the athletes all we can at any time. There is only one rule set that will guarantee a true end to any match so we are proud to announce the Metamoris Challenge. There is no shame in challenging yourself and others to be stronger and more positive. Who will challenge you to grow? (Note: This is not a Metamoris numbered event and no tickets will be available for limitations on time predictability).

It’s unclear what exactly, if anything, Gordon Ryan would have to get from this challenge.
