Nice Attacker Had A Grappling Background

In the days following devastating Nice terrorist attack new details about the attacker are emerging. This comes along with BBC reporting that 5 accomplices have been accused of helping Mohamed Lahouaiej-Bouhlel prepare the terrorist attack.

Mohamed Lahouaiej-Bouhlel, 31, was a French-Tunisian delivery driver known to police. The divorced father of three had a slight background in grappling prior to his horrific act of driving into a crowd killing 84 people.

His opponent asked not to be named, but remembers Bouhlel as a novice who made a lot of mistakes during the fight. According to the opponent striking with his head and elbows was banned according to the rules.

This is not the first time an individual involved with a terrorist attack has had a martial arts background. Notably, there is footage of the Boston Bomber Jahar Dzhokhar Tsarnaev wrestling. What you might not know is that the Boston Bomber was persuaded by his former wrestling coach to surrender himself into the hands of FBI.
