Hippie Sabotage RNCs a Security Guard In Festival Brawl

Sacremento’s electronic dance music duo Hippie Sabotage was in quite a brawl at the “What The Festival” 2016 held in Portland couple days bak. The video of band’s confrontation with the Security Guards has gone viral but it is still unclear as to what exactly lead the band to turn on the security guards.

Various social media postings refer to confusion regarding the cause of the fight. The band was promptly escorted from the Festival and didn’t manage to complete their set.

Memebers of the band claimed self-defense in a statement to Willamette Week:

“It was an unfortunate event that placed us in an unsafe situation in the middle of our performance. We feel terrible that the fans didn’t get the full set, but we love performing for Portland and will be back.”

The conflict coincides with the release of their new original song called “Options”

Hippie Sabotage is best known for its remix of “Habits (Stay High)” by the Swedish singer Tove Lo. The remixed track reached the Top 10 in various European countries and currently has 429 million plays on youtube
