Eddie Bravo Comments On The Fall Of Ralek Gracie & Metamoris

Rener and Ryron Gracie have sent an email  statement last week to Gracie Certified Training Center (GCTC) Owners warning them not to do business with their brother Ralek.

One such email was seen by Flograppling. In it the the two brothers issue a statement distancing themselves from Ralek Gracie’s business practices following his less than savory business practices in regards to Metamoris.

Ryron and Rener Gracie affirmed they have nothing to do with Metamoris, no involvement or stakes. And they’ve used strongly worded warnings for GCTC instructors not to engage with Ralek or Metamoris.

“We have no stake in Metamoris, but we have always supported our brother, Ralek,” the email reads.

“Although we haven’t always agreed with the Metamoris business practices, we never felt it was our place to publicly express our concerns with the operation… until now.”

Ralek was under fire for promising to pay off his debts (toward workers, competitors and other involved with Metamoris) and then backtracking.

Rener and Ryron email sent on Wednesday October 19th says they’ve severed their business relationship with him.

“Ralek has engaged in dishonest and fraudulent activity, and continues to do so despite our repeated efforts to guide him,” the email reads. “We have decided to terminate all business relations with Ralek and Metamoris.”

Rener confirmed the authenticity of the email to flograppling earlier yesterday.

2 years ago, after Metamoris 3, Ralek Gracie and Eddie Bravo had a public disagreement where Ralek accused Eddie Bravo of starting a campaign to discredit him and Metamoris, by starting his own event (EBI).

Eddie Bravo was recently on Bloody Elbow’s Three Amigos Podcast and discussed the fall of Metamoris:

“We started super low budget, and we grew slowly. Metamoris came out with a gigantic explosion, and maybe they bit off a little bit more than they could chew. I’m not sure. I like Metamoris, you know what I mean?

I don’t share the same views as Ralek Gracie, and we’re not buddies and we’re not hanging out. We definitely had our share of arguments and debates and even a feud or two, but Metamoris was a great show. Anytime there’s a Metamoris, I want to go see it.

Did Ralek make some mistakes along the way? Hell yeah, he did. Hopefully, he can somehow, some way figure out a way to work it out, because I want Metamoris to succeed.”
