Eddie Alvarez Grappling Frankie Edgar In Prep for McGregor

UFC 205 is almost here. Of course in his unique style McGregor has already vowed to retire Eddie Alvarez.

Apparently everyone wants to demolish the opponent the way Demian Maia did a number of Condit. McGregor even went so far as to say “His wife and kids won’t ever recognize him again”

But the shots fired at the media conference call weren’t unreturned :

“The guys he’s picked to fight, these are sub-par guys,” Alvarez said. “Everybody in the lightweight division has beat Nate (Diaz), and he had trouble doing that. The guys he’s faced are nothing of the caliber I am. He will see the night of the fight, ****, I’ve been going up against **** opponents that were good style matchups, and this one is not, and I’m ****.”

Just now Eddie Alvarez’ camp has released some grappling footage of him working with teammate Frankie Edgar on his grappling.

Alvarez also has a spinning backfist for the grounded opponent.

All the while Macgregor has been heating up the mats with Dillon Danis!

What do you think about this short clip? How does it fare to McGregor’s ground game skills?
