Denny Prokopos Retiring From Competing in Jiu Jitsu

 

 

Almost a month ago to this date Polaris fight between Denny Prokopos and Imanari was announced:

Denny Prokopos has to back out of the fight sadly due to injury. But that is not it, Prokopos who retired from EBI due to injury recently has decided to back down from the competitive scene.

“Due to health reasons I have decided to withdraw from my match with Masakazu Iminari at Polaris 4. Thank you Polaris for the opportunity and I am very sorry that I could not make it. I am now retiring from competitive Jiu Jitsu. I will continue to learn, train, teach, coach, and expand the 10th Planet association. I am very grateful for everything that I got to experience and accomplish.”

Prokopos was the very first black belt by bjj controversial figure Eddie Bravo. He was an important representative of the 10th Planet system having won several important titles including World NoGi Championships at brown belt level, FILA Grappling and others.
