Conor McGregor vs Nick Diaz Rumored To Be In The Works

Another spectacular pairing seems to be in the works at the UFC. It’s hard to tell whether this is a fight desired on appeal or is it the big money that’s attracting everyone to the match but one thing’s for certain – they don’t seem to be sparing the superstar Conor McGregor.

Rumors of the fight were confirmed by comedian and UFC commentator Joe Rogan during the recent fight companion podcast.

“I heard a rumor that I’d hoped was true. That they were gonna setup Nick Diaz vs Conor. I’m like My God That would break the world. Do you know how, like, insane the hype would be? For a Nick Diaz vs Conor McGregor fight. Can you even imagine how crazy that would be. ”

The fight companion guests called it a better bigger sequel of the Nate Diaz fights. To which Rogan continued: “Could you imagine if they did that? The thing is Nick is never making 155 again – he’s just not. His way too big. “

Joe Shilling seem to disagree and piped in that Nick could certainly do it. Indeed Nick fought at 155 against Diego Sanchez way back in 2005. He also fought Gomi at Pride at 160.

Nick notably knocked out Robbie Lawler. Yves Edwards recalled being in the lockerroom with Nick prior to the fight.

“He was hitting the pads and it didn’t look awesome. And he was just “Imma knock this m*****-f***** out! Yeah” Just pumping himself up and talking how he was gonna knock Robbie out  and do all this s*** and I was like he ain’t going out and knocking nothing out with those punches and then he went out and knocked him out with a jab. “
