ADCC 77kg Division Preview

ADCC 77kg Division Preview

ADCC is fast approaching and with it come many last minute changes on the roster. Sadly Gabriel Arges is out and in addition to him this division will also be missing out on the returning champion Davi Ramos who has opted out due to his shifting focus to MMA and a desire to prove his name in the UFC.

The 77 kg division will be featuring Garry Tonon, DJ Jackson, JT Torres, Gilbert Burns and Lucas Lepri among others.

Lepri is perhaps understated in terms of betting odds but let us not forget he was in the finals of the previous tournament only to be defeated by the reigning champ. Many might not remember but Lepri actually defeated Garry Tonon 10:0 at the ADCC 2015.

JT Torres : The Essential Road To ADCC

Truth be told Tonon has been making plenty of waves since and is not to be discounted. But neither is DJ Jackson who has managed to defeat Tonon at the peculiar ruleset at Grappling Pro Championship earlier in the year.

Vagner Rocha is another serious contender as he’s remained ever the feisty active competitor across many promotions.

Gilbert Burns came in 3rd the last time however he’s since managed to lose a Polaris fight to Tonon so it’ll certainly be interesting to see how the two measure up again.

ADCC 2017 77 kg division will be featuring:
